The Professional Bartending Institute of Columbus, Ohio was established in 1978 and has remained in the same location for 30 years.  We are locally-owned and the owners work in the school every day.

Over the last 30 years of continuous operation, we have seen many bartending schools come and go. When out-of-state owned schools close their doors, their graduates are left with no support, continuing education or job placement help.

Our training facility was just remodeled and boasts a fully-equipped full-service bar, side service-bar, and mini-bar. Students are taught the art of bartending in a classroom designed to simulate a real bar environment. The campus consists of 1,400 square feet of classrooms and offices in a well-lit safe area with ample parking and is convenient to public transportation.

Before enrolling in any bartender school, beware of some schools at the bottom of our industry that simply throw together cheap plywood imitation bars with linoleum kitchen counters for a bar top and no running water, bar, sinks, blenders, etc. You’ll probably never work behind a bar like that, so why train on one?

You must be 21 to bartend in the State Of Ohio. You can attend our school at the age of 18 if you are planning on relocating to a different state (where you are allowed to bartend at the age of 18) using our Nationwide Job Placement Assistance Program!

Our school has created bartending programs to answer the demand for professionally trained bartenders. We provide bartending education, organizational skills and customer service training.

All of our graduates receive ServSafe alcohol awareness training by the National Restaurant Assoc. We then follow up your training with a proven job placement assistance program.
